Hi, everyone! I'm just dropping a quick note on this brilliant system to introduce myself, since I have a moment to myself and I've found a computer to play around on. My name is Xi'an Coy Manh, and I'm your new librarian, starting as of now. I've been browsing these journals a bit, and I see you've all had a very eventful summer -- Cecilia was kind enough to explain some things to me (I think she was actually trying to shock me, but I'm pretty hard to shock ;).

Please call me Shan; being called Miss anything gives me hives. I understand things here have been a bit hectic lately, so I am sorry for arriving unexpectedly, but I wanted to see the state of the library before your classes started, and become aquainted with this lovely house so I don't get too lost when things get busy. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you; I'll probably be wandering around blissfully for the next few days, so feel free to say hi if you want to. (I'll also be taking book requests once I've figured out what we already have.)

You'll probably be seeing me around, and there are two other faces you'll likely turn up -- Leong and Nga are twins, nine, and looking for something to do after spending a few days in the van with me. (If they break anything, let me know.) They're good kids, although slightly rambunctious, and very friendly.

(Angelo, thank you so much for your help this afternoon. I don't know how I managed to accumulate that much stuff over the years, but you were much appreciated -- as was the rundown on the mansion. If I can make it up to you, let me know.)

Ooo, librarian. Welcome aboard, Shan. And I _thought_ I heard unfamiliar giggling at one point...good, I'm not going as insane as I thought I was.

Clothing, huh? I bet they'd love it. What are your rates? And thanks for the welcome -- I have a feeling I'll like it here. :)

Your timing

Your timing was really very good too. We just moved to the renovated wing with new rooms.

I think that Shiro's little sister needs a roommate if your little sister wants one? Leyu might be in our suite, mine and Amanda's and Rahne's.

Thanks! (They do like to spy on people -- sorry about that. They've been playing ninjas all week, which was . . . well, pretty funny, actually.)

Hello, Shan. I see a number of people have beaten me to welcoming you aboard, so just consider me part of the choir.

Once you get settled in, I may descend upon you with large amounts of book requests. I'm hoping to teach a class this fall that requires a number of titles that aren't in the library...

I think we might have some real ninjas and ninjas-in-training around here too ;)

a word of warning - I (among others) have live steel. I keep mine sheathed and in a rather heavy duffel under one end of my bed, but I would hate for something to happen. I can see about moving them though, if needed.

Darnit, you take the opportunity for a nice relaxing afternoon horseback ride and completely miss a chance to help somebody move in. I need to get back in the habit of keeping tabs on the house. Sorry about that--looks like Angelo had you covered, though. :) I'm Jamie, and how about to make it up to you I point Artie and Miles in the twins' direction if they haven't found each other already? They're about the same age and it looks like they fit the same description.

No "Miss," huh? How about "Library Lady?" If the emphasis is on the "Lady?" :)

Gosh, you guys have everything.

For the live steel -- if it's somewhere you think the kids could easily find it, do please put it somewhere else. If not, I don't think it's something to worry about. They're nosy, but not enough that they'll tear anyone's room apart. (Hopefully they'll stay out of rooms, but that might be asking a lot. The privacy lecture is worn.)

You didn't shock me with Asgard or the hell dimension. You can sure try, though.

*nods* I'll see about moving mine just in case then.

Hello there! I'm Paige. Actually, if you're in the library right now, I'm the little bit of blonde hair peeking out from behind that stack of books.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing a bit of each other.

My dagger is in a locked box, and will not be leaving it until I get a lockable display case for it. I suspect the same can apply to the rest of us with weaponry from our 'field trip' to Asgard a few weeks ago. Most of us anyway.

yeah, but I USE mine, pretty much every day. and I'd need one hell of a big lockbox for them.

I mean, the katana alone is over 3ft!!

I noticed -- God, this place is beautiful. Everything I thought it was. :)

My little sister would be thrilled to be Leyu's roommate, if there's room for her. :) I'll send her down to meet you guys if you want?

she wasn't shocked by me either. YOU were.

That is a lot of steel. Mine was just a hair over two feet, but it was simply a sword. Which reminds me, I miss that sword. I should replace it someday.

I wonder if you could get some sort of locker that might double as a display case?

There is. We still have 2 empty places, one in Leyu's room and one in Rahne's room.

If she comes back to you reporting that there is a big lizard roaming around, that is Amanda's iguana, Frank. If she comes back -with- mice, they are mine.

next hobby is going to be SMALL. like stamps.

If it's any consolation, it wasn't the color of your skin I was shocked by.

somehow, it is.

They make locking display and storage cabinets for rifles, yes? I would think that the same might be true for swords.
